BuyRentBorrow™ is a trademark and product of Atrilux LLC. When this Privacy Policy refers to "we," "us," or "our," it means Atrilux LLC and the BuyRentBorrow™ platform. When it refers to "you," it means any person who visits our website or uses our application.

We collect only the information necessary to operate the marketplace and provide you with a useful experience:

• Account information — such as your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Listing information — descriptions, photos, and pricing you submit when posting an item to buy, sell, rent, rent out, borrow, or loan.
• Community board posts — asks and replies you choose to post on the public Community board (see "Community Board" below).
• Contact information — messages you send to other users through our platform.
• Transaction information — records of completed transactions to help resolve disputes and improve the platform.
• Technical information — basic data such as your browser type, operating system, and IP address, collected automatically to keep the platform secure and functional.

🎯 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Display your listings to other users of the marketplace.
• Facilitate communication between buyers, sellers, renters, and borrowers.
• Automatically screen listing photos — images you upload are checked for prohibited content by an automated image-analysis service (Google Cloud Vision), which acts solely as our service provider. Screening results are used only for content moderation; your photos are not used to train third-party AI models and are not shared for any other purpose.
• Protect the security and integrity of our platform.
• Respond to your questions or support requests.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, target you with ads, or infer personal characteristics about you.

🚫 What We Never Do With Your Information

Atrilux LLC will never sell, rent, lease, trade, barter, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for any commercial or marketing purpose. This commitment is absolute and unconditional — it applies regardless of any business changes, partnerships, or circumstances.

We also do not:

• Share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
• Use your data to serve you targeted advertisements.
• Allow third parties to track you across other websites using data from our platform.
• Sell aggregated or anonymized versions of your data for commercial gain.

🤝 When We May Share Information

We share information only in the following very limited circumstances:

• With other users — only the information necessary to complete a transaction (e.g., a seller seeing a buyer's first name to arrange pickup), and, if you post on the Community board, the public details described under "Community Board" below.
• With service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate the platform (such as hosting, payment processing, text and email delivery, and automated image screening), bound by strict confidentiality agreements and prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
• For legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public, we may disclose information to appropriate authorities.

In every case, we share the minimum information necessary and nothing more.

🏘️ Community Board

The Community board is public. When you post an ask or reply to one, the text you write, your username, your city or ZIP code, and an approximate distance band (for example "3–5 mi") are visible to anyone who opens the page, including people who are not signed in. Your street address, email address, and phone number are never shown there. Phone numbers and email addresses typed into a post or reply are masked automatically, and the board asks you to share contact details by private message instead.

An ask stays public until it expires (7 to 90 days, your choice), is marked as found, or you close it, after which it leaves the public board. We keep the record so your own history, the replies in the thread, and any pending report can still be reviewed. A reply you delete is replaced for readers by "(reply deleted by author)"; its text is retained in our records for moderation and dispute review. If you delete your account, your asks are closed and their text and location are erased, and the text of your replies is removed; the empty records remain so other members' threads stay intact. Our moderation audit log keeps only record identifiers and reason codes, never the text of a post or reply.

Community pages are marked so that search engines should not index them, but anything posted publicly may be copied by others before it is removed. Please post only what you are comfortable sharing with your neighbors.

📱 Text Messages (SMS)

If you opt in to our text-message notifications, we collect and use your mobile phone number solely to send you account and transaction alerts and one-time verification codes, as described in the SMS Program section of our Terms of Service. Opt-in is explicit and happens inside your account; you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or turning the setting off in your profile.

We do not sell or share your mobile phone number, or your SMS opt-in and consent information, with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data is used only to deliver the messages you asked for. Message and data rates may apply.

🔐 How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encrypted data transmission, secure server infrastructure, and access controls that limit who within Atrilux LLC can view your information.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, protecting your data is something we take seriously, and we continually work to improve our practices.
